Need a change in work schedules?  We are looking for an experienced RN who would like to work weekends and be off Monday through Friday, but also needs a good benefit package.  We offer a weekend baylor shift (Saturday & Sunday work 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., 24 hours, and receive 1.5 x your regular rate of pay + a benefit package).  Hospice nursing is very rewarding and the weekend staff continue the continuity of care to our patients and families.  A team of baylor RNs report in on Saturday & Sunday to our Highway 58 office to get assigned visits from the nurse manager.  Local travel is required  to various service areas to make home visits to terminally ill patients, to provide continuity of care through the weekend continuing the plan of care which is developed by the the interdisciplinary team and managed by a Primary Case RN.  The team consists of RNs, C.N.A.s, Social Workers, Bereavement Counselor, Chaplain and a HOC Team M.D.   We provide free uniforms and mileage reimbursement.  We provide lap top computer for clinical documentation, which is required to be completed and sync'd into the computer system prior to ending shift.  Mandatory clinical in-services throughout the year are also required, which are typically held on Thursday mornings 9-10.   This RN must be extremely competent working with patients facing end-of-life care due to various terminal diagnosis along with multiple other complications and diagnosis not related to the terminal diagnosis, but all which are followed and managed through hospice care.   You will have time to spend with your patients and extend an extraordinary level of compassionate.   Most of our baylor nurses have 10+ years experience in nursing and have found this schedule very enjoyable in their careers.  We will consider RN's will 3+ years of hospital experience and additional home visiting experience is a plus.  The support from co-workers is strong as they too go through the end-of-life with each and every patient and family member they meet.  Excellent customer service is a daily expectation and practice at Hospice of Chattanooga, Inc.
